Dr Mandy Cooke is a lecturer in Early Childhood Education at Deakin University. With over 20 years’ experience as an early childhood and primary teacher, Mandy’s work focuses on positive transformation of educational practices for the benefit of individuals and socially just and sustainable communities. Mandy does this by working with preservice teachers and undertaking research focused on initial teacher education and pedagogical practices. Her current focus is on the pedagogy of risk-taking for both children and educators.
